Read what Dennis Smith, a

"A
professionally crafted, well-designed dedicated fly
tying desk is far and away the ultimate answer for the
die-hard (fly tier). There are any number of them
available through fly shops, and mail order catalogs.
Many manufacturers advertise in the classified
sections of major fly fishing magazines. Surprisingly,
one of the best I've ever seen (and one of the
prettiest) is made right here in Loveland, (Colorado)
by Tibbals Wood Studio.
Operating from a meticulously clean shop on Southeast
Eighth Street woodwright Tim Tibbals handcrafts six
custom flytying benches...-all of them as astoundingly
beautiful as they are functional."

"...This
desk (The Poudre) is very stable and solidly built
without a trace of wobbliness. It is shipped
disassembled, but I found putting it together was made
easy by following the clear and simple enclosed
instructions. The desk's height of 30 inches is very
close to what most professional fly tiers consider the
optimal working height, allowing the tier to adjust
seat and vise height to work with his or her forearms
in a nearly horizontal position, reducing strain on
the back and neck.
In addition to being a sturdy and
thoughtfully-designed work station, this desk is a
handsome piece of furniture. The clear lacquer
finished natural alder and functional lines should fit
nicely in almost any setting.
